You might have a fancy alarm system, video doorbell and locks on your front door, but have you also secured your garden gate too? According to This is Money.co.uk who spoke to several UK insurers, there has been a huge rise in garden thefts over the last 12 months.
Gardens are often a burglar’s first point of access to a property so homeowners should make it as difficult as possible for them to access their property, that’s why every garden gate should have a lock on it.

BL4402 ECP – designed with a 28mm ali latch for narrow stile gates (such as a panelled door or gates with varying depths of wood thickness) where a full size mortice lock is too big.
The BL4409 ECP garden gate lock
BL4409 & BL4409 ECP – recently updated with a new knob turn handle, this is one of our most popular garden gate locks. It also comes with a holdback function, which is ideal if you need to leave the gate open for a period of time. Once inside, there is also the option of dead latching the latch bolt, which denies keypad operation from the outside. Available with Easicode Pro function and without.
BL4441 & BL4441 ECP – using a simple to fit tubular latch and where you want to control access in and out of your garden (perhaps to stop children leaving unsupervised), this lock has back to back keypads, which require a code to be entered each time it is used. It is also designed for thick gates up to 80mm.
BL4442 & BL4442 ECP – designed with two back to back keypads to control access in and out, this gate lock also has a 28mm ali latch to fit narrow stile gates.
Where you see the code ‘ECP’ after a lock number, this means you can also choose this lock in our unique Easicode Pro functionality allowing for the code programming of both keypads without removing the products from the gate or door. The code can be changed in 10 seconds or less!
Locks designated with MG are Borg Locks’ robust Marine Grade Pro 2 black finish. This gives the lock added UV protection as well as proven resistance from corrosion by harsh elements, making it perfect for all external uses, such as garden gates.
