This refers to the amount of traffic in which the lock is going to see; simply put, the higher the duty rating, the stronger it’ll be and the more force and wear the unit can take.
There are two main styles of handle; lever turn and knob turn. The lever turn is easier to rotate and use but is more prone to force whereas the knob turn is slightly more difficult to rotate but harder to damage.
