Following rapidly on the heels of the recently redesigned and relaunched BL2625 and BL4409 digital locks, Borg Locks are launching a brand new heavy duty lock range, the BL7000 ECP at the MLA Expo 2021.
This is the latest range of access controls to join the unique Easicode Pro (ECP) series of locks from Borg. The extensive range offers a host of innovative features designed and built to meet a heavy-duty specification and is ideal for high traffic areas.
Sharing the same fixing points as the Simplex 1000 & 5000 as well as our own BL5000 series, the BL7000 ECP series is the perfect heavy-duty model for a retro‑fit solution.
The code change is completed in just a few seconds by using the code change key provided on the door from the keypad side, making it ideal for situations where regular code changes are required. To change the code, it’s as simple as knowing the original code and having the code change key to prevent unauthorised code change attempts.
The BL7700/7800 ECP models have a built-in key override in the lever/knob handle; this utilises a SFIC (small format interchangeable core) cylinder. This is a new type of key override system for Borg Locks, whereby rotation of the key engages the lever/knob handle, and is perfect for use with potentially heavily sprung third-party locks. The keypad lever/knob is free rotating and only engages with the clutch and 8mm spindle drive until the correct code of key is entered.
All BL7000 ECP are supplied as standard with the optional free passage function and actuated from the keypad side, which allows users to pass through the door without the need to enter the code each time, making it ideal where access control is not always paramount.
For ultimate flexibility, the BL7000 can be supplied single sided with a keypad outside and lever inside, or have keypads on both sides. They can be supplied without a locking device to ensure they will work with an existing third-party lock, or can be supplied with a variety of tubular latches and lock cases. The choice is yours!
All BL7000 models are available in the stainless-steel finish for internal or sheltered external environments. Or you can choose the upgraded black Marine Grade Pro 2 surface coating, which has been extensively salt spray tested in excess of 1,000 hours; this lock is ready to withstand everything the British weather can throw at it, from sunlight and heat to cold and rain.
Borg Locks is very excited to be launching the BL7000 at the MLA Expo in October 2021. You are welcome to visit our stand H2.78 and have a personal, hands-on demonstration of the lock and its capabilities. We think you’ll be very impressed!
At the show, we’ll also be showcasing the BL2625 and the BL4409 locks, which have been recently redesigned following extensive customer feedback.
The BL2625 ECP MG Pro is the ultimate, compact-sized, rim-fixed sliding deadbolt with the added unique feature of keypad operation from both sides.
The secure rim-fixed sliding deadbolt offers a far higher level of protection than traditional sprung latch bolts.
We’ve redesigned the surface latch element of the BL4409 and given it a larger and easier to use knob turn handle.
But that’s not all, as we’ve also added a holdback function, which is ideal if you need to leave the gate open for a period of time.
A dual action sliding button on the side of the case enables the hold open feature when engaged in one direction or allows the dead latching of the latch in the other, denying keypad operation from the outside.
Both locks are available with Easicode pro and our upgraded Marine Grade Pro 2 elemental finish.
Borg Locks are delighted to be launching and showcasing the unique features of the brand new BL7000 digital combination lock at the Master Locksmith Expo 2021 (MLA Expo 21) in October at The International Centre in Telford. The BL7000 isn’t currently available on our website, so please join us on Stand H2.78 to view this brand new lock and judge the quality of our manufacturing for yourselves.
