Description
The BL7000 ECP is our solution to the heavy duty specification, ideal for high traffic areas.
To comply with fire regulations, this unit comes supplied with an included intumescent kit to suit 30 and 60 minute timber fire doors.
Designed to provide a reliable solution for such a application, the BL7700 ECP was designed to share a footprint with other popular heavy duty locks on the market, such at the Unican 1000 & 5000 to make switching over easy. Code changing was also made far easier with the Easicode Pro system, allowing a on the door code change and free passage function from the internal handle preventing any unauthorized code change attempts.
The BL7703 ECP models have a built-in key override in the lever/knob handle; this utilises a SFIC (small format interchangeable core) cylinder. This is a new type of key override system for Borg Locks, whereby rotation of the key engages the lever/knob handle, making it ideal for use with potentially heavily sprung third-party locks. The keypad lever/knob is free rotating and only engages with the clutch and 8mm spindle drive until the correct code of key is entered.
This lock was manufactured with stainless steel coding to ensure it’s longevity and allowing it to operate externally. This variation on the BL7703 ECP series comes with a 60x72mm lockcase with an optional slot for a standard euro key cylinder for deadbolting.
The unit is a heavy duty lock and is suitable for use internally and externally on wooden, composite and steel doors.
