The BL1716 is one of our most popular cabinet locks and is perfect for providing another layer of security for anyone needing lockable storage solutions.
It’s ideal for businesses wishing to protect employee belongings, to use at home for important personal documents or to secure work valuables.
Horizontal format – this compact cabinet lock comes in a horizontal format with a standard compact keypad. An optional code change shroud is available (part no. S101) to obscure and cover up the code change button. As standard, these are supplied with an off-set and straight cam to suit many different styles and applications.
Keypad and key override – in addition to the standard compact keypad, it also has a built-in key override function, allowing the coding system to be bypassed with the key provided. Ideal if the code is forgotten or mislaid!
Easily change the set up – the BL1716 comes with two keymats to retrofit onto the keypad itself to suit both left-handed and right-handed setups.
Two finishes – the cabinet door lock is available in a high-quality satin chrome finish which looks sleek and contemporary, but if the lock is needed for external use, then choose the BL1716 MG Pro in our incredibly durable Marine Grade Pro finish. It is salt spray tested for 1,000 hours and is designed for use in environments where harsh weather and conditions are to be expected.
Change the lock code in seconds – whichever finish you choose, the BL1716 also features our Easicode Pro for under 10-second on-door code changes.
The BL1716 is part of the 1000 Series, which feature a range of compact (110x40mm) keypads, designed for metal cabinets, lockers and cupboards. They all have Easicode Pro as standard, allowing the code to be changed quickly and securely without removing the lock from the door, all done in a matter of seconds!
